TableTap is operated by Studio81 Labs s.r.o. (“TableTap”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
TableTap is designed to work without user accounts. We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles, or share information with advertising networks.
1. Information we collect
Session data
To provide the TableTap experience, we store information associated with a table, including:
- Table names and descriptions, if provided.
- Participant nicknames and avatar preferences.
- Drinks, entries, and rounds.
- Settlement information.
- Activity required to keep a table synchronised between participants.
Session identifiers
Each table is assigned a unique identifier that allows participants to join and continue using the same table across devices and browser sessions.
No account is required to create or join a table.
Local device storage
TableTap stores certain data locally on your device to improve reliability and support temporary offline operation.
This data may include cached table information and pending changes that have not yet been synchronised with our servers.
Technical information
We may collect limited technical information required to operate the service, including:
- Browser type.
- Application version.
- Device language.
- Time zone.
Website analytics
Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand overall usage and improve the service.
These analytics do not identify individual visitors and are not used for advertising purposes.
Email addresses
If you contact us or subscribe to product updates, we may store your email address and correspondence in order to respond to your request or send the updates you requested.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate and maintain TableTap.
- Synchronise tables, participants, entries, rounds, and settlement information.
- Improve reliability, stability, and performance.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Send product updates when requested by users.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Who we share information with
We use a limited number of service providers to operate TableTap, including hosting, database, and infrastructure providers.
We do not sell personal data.
We may disclose information only when required by law or when necessary to protect the security, integrity, or operation of the service.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – to provide and operate TableTap.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to maintain, secure, and improve the service.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – when you subscribe to product updates or otherwise provide consent.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) – when processing is required by applicable law.
5. Storage and security
Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit.
Where possible, our infrastructure and data storage providers are located within the European Union.
Session history remains available until deleted by a participant or upon request.
While we take reasonable measures to protect information, no system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Deleting your data
TableTap does not require user accounts and does not associate tables with verified real-world identities.
Participant nicknames are chosen by users and may contain personal information voluntarily provided by those users.
You may request deletion of:
- A table and its associated data.
- Product update subscriptions.
- Support correspondence, where applicable.
To request deletion, contact privacy@tabletap.fun.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data.
7. Children
TableTap is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law.
8. International transfers
If information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted under applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Material changes will be reflected on this page together with an updated revision date.
